VISIT IN WINTER TIME
It would seem that in winter, the Zlín ZOO is at rest, but the exact opposite is true. The area of the gardens is teeming with life and it is certainly worth a visit. You may spot practically all the animals, only the warmth blooded birds are gone from their summer aviaries and spend winters in winter sanctuaries. The exterior range is regularly visited by elephants, zebras, African antelopes, ostriches, lions and giraffes. Winter poses no problems even for pink flamingos, penguins or macaw.
Cooler weather is sought out by seals, Siberian tigers, Asiatic black bears, vicugnas or camels.
During your visit, you may warm up in total of 5 pavilions – Tropical Yucatan hall, The pavilion of primates, Terrariums, The pavilion of African wildlife and Elephant pavilon.
Restaurants Limpopo or Neapolitano are open during winter season and are ready to welcome you.
